Shannon Garson is a ceramicist specialising in thrown, decorated porcelain. Her aim is to create beautiful, objects of art through the synthesis of intricate decoration and simple, classic form. Shannon's studio is based in a small rural town in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast. Each piece of porcelain is unique, the result of many hours work. Shannon's pots are finely thrown and translucent. The vessels are decorated with lively drawings and subtle, textured surfaces which provide a canvas for the misty greens, sunset oranges and delicate hues of the drawings.
